Joyful Restaurant

Hey everyone!

So we're really behind on our blogs so here's another one to add to our Las Vegas Trip back in end of February. We are the type of family that gets food sick if it only consists of burgers and fries on a daily basis so of course we hunted down an old favourite of ours in Chinatown. We've been here a couple of years back and we remembered deeply that this place had amazing Chinese food. We decided to try taking an Uber Car down to the area and it only costs $10.00 for the ride. If you want to know more about our experience in an Uber Car or want to check out the interior of the restaurant, pls click into our Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCT1vgaB7lCPwnLi2frd8TgA

First off, we got the Beef Noodles ($10.95). I thought this was lacking flavor and for sure wasn't the best beef noodle I had. I thought this dish was definitely not worth ordering considering all the other dishes were pretty damn delicious.

Next, we got the Seafood Hotpot ($15.50). This was by far my fave dish on the table. The sauce was flavorful. The whole pot was fresh and boiling hot. All ingredients were soaked in that sauce and especially the tofu tasted amazing!

Pan-Fried beef with Broccoli ($12.95). Great flavor and definitely a good sharing plate to share among a few people. The broccoli was fresh and cooked to the right texture. Wasn't overly soft or hard. The beef was tender and juicy.

Last but not least, we got the Roasted Duck ($12.95). The photo does not give it justice. Presentation wise, it looks like its dry and old but once you try it, the skin was crispy and the meat was juicy and flavorful! Highly recommend trying this out because overall it was great. You can taste the difference between the ducks here and Vancouver. Really hard to pin point on it but the way how they made it was definitely different. But both places make it good in their own way and we highly enjoyed this dish.

At the very end when we received our bill, we were also given FORTUNE COOKIES :) Phil's favorite little snack. In Vancouver, we never come across a restaurant who still gives out fortune cookies so we were really happy that this restaurant in Las Vegas is still going strong with giving out these at the very end of the meal. :)
