Hey everyone!
So we're really behind on our blogs so here's another one to add to our Las Vegas Trip back in end of February. We are the type of family that gets food sick if it only consists of burgers and fries on a daily basis so of course we hunted down an old favourite of ours in Chinatown. We've been here a couple of years back and we remembered deeply that this place had amazing Chinese food. We decided to try taking an Uber Car down to the area and it only costs $10.00 for the ride. If you want to know more about our experience in an Uber Car or want to check out the interior of the restaurant, pls click into our Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCT1vgaB7lCPwnLi2frd8TgA

L'Opera Patisserie
Hey everyone!
Last weekend my friend and I decided to try out L'Opera Patisserie High Tea. I've heard mixed reviews about this place so I really didn't know what to expect here. Their location is part of the Marriot hotel and is across from Mui Garden in Richmond. They have parking in the back, so take a look there before you drive up to the parkade. My friend and I didn't know so we drove up the parkade and parked relatively far. We had to cut through the hotel in order to exit out in to the main road until we reached their little cafe. Also, the parkade is not free... so I think we paid like 6 dollars for 2 hour parking. Their interior is extremely small. The tables were pretty close to one another and walking space is very limited. Nonetheless, the interior decor is extremely cute. To see more of the interior, watch our youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5_N0SLPqIM0 !! It'll also mean the world to me if you subscribe to our channel or even give us a thumbs up :)

Pronto
Hey everyone!!
So currently Phil & I are in Vegas for this whole week. You'll see a few posts from Las Vegas on our blog and if you are interested in watching our Vegas adventure, check us out on youtube! We are posting daily vlogs on our Youtube channel!
Day 1 in Vegas: www.youtube.com/watch?v=tNVKeqPkeSU
So before we headed out to Vegas, we went to Pronto with a great friend of ours. Its located along Cambie and between 18th & 19th Avenue. Try finding parking at the back of the restaurant. They had a few along the alley way that was free parking after 6pm.
When we stepped into the restaurant, we waited approximately 5 minutes and nobody from their staff walked up to us to ask if we were helped. There were quite a few staff members that passed by us and we were totally ignored. Since it was our first time at this restaurant, I decided to walk up to the one at the cashier till and ask her if we seat ourselves or someone is supposed to help us. She seemed like she was trying to fix something in the till and answered with a quick no, we help you out. BUT she doesn't tell one of her staff to assist us..... So we were just standing in front of her for a few minutes, confused, not sure what to do...and then FINALLY a blonde lady from their staff team saw us and decided to ask if we were helped. We answered no, and she quickly brought us to a table at their back patio. Right off the bat, this place already gave poor service so I was really hoping the food will be MUCH better than their service.

The Bubble Tea Shop - Downtown
Hey everyone!
The other day I went to the new Bubble Tea Shop in Downtown. Surprisingly, I've never been to the Richmond location so I was super excited to try out their bubble waffles! I've seen many photos on social media and a bunch of other foodies talking about it, so I wanted to know what this place is all about! This location is located on Robson, near all the Korean bars. The exact location is 1680 Robson Street. Recommend car pooling with friends if you are planning to come here OR transit (but the walk is a bit far from skytrain, unless you bus down).
The interior is very small and petite but still have enough tables to sit a few large groups. Surprisingly when we got there around 9-10pm, it was not full. They make great use of the space but seat between seat may be a bit tight. Also, they have racks above the inner seats to make up as storage space for their cups BUT it actually fell down randomly, so just beware if you end up sitting under those cups.
Their menu is located on the tv located on the wall. Also, there is other options of different items that are not listed on their menu on the screen. They taped it all around their cashier area! So if you don't see anything you want on the main menu, check out the other ones they have listed around their cashier desk.

Hubbub Sandwiches On Cambie
Hi everyone!
Yesterday after my workout session, I decided to grab lunch at Hubbub Sandwiches on Cambie. When I arrived it was approximately 10:50am and they actually open at 11am, so I waited for 10 minutes outside with my friend. We were able to take a look inside through their big windows. The interior looks very nice. They had wooden panels along the wall and they used a lot of white tiles with red trim, which represented their logo/signage colors. Their color palette for the space is white and red and with the natural lighting popping in from the large head to floor windows, it really made the space look very bright and welcoming.
Their ordering system is you order from the front and pick up from the back. Seating is your choice, so you can choose where you would like to sit. I really like their garbage/recycling system because it really shows the customers where to put their garbage and recyclables.

Hakkasan Bistro
Hey everyone!
We were also served with appetizers on the side to pair with our wine. I was really enjoying their home grown grapes. They told us to try the grapes because apparently people always say Richmond can't grow great grapes. I can personally say that their home grown Richmond grapes taste amazing and they are extremely juicy and sweet!

Maji Restaurant
Hey guys!
Went to Maji this week and this time I brought my two bros, my bros buddy, & Phil. None of them tried Maji before and they were all really excited to try out this place considering how much I love this place.
I also filmed our whole experience HERE. So go check out our youtube channel and tell us what you think!
Right off the bat, we ordered my fave beer of all time. This time we got one can of Pineapple beer and one can of Mango beer. If you read my last blog on Maji then you should know how much I was loving the Pineapple flavour beer. The mango flavour was really delicious too and the taste of the mango was definitely stronger compared to the pineapple beer. If I have to choose a favourite, I would choose the Pineapple flavour over the Mango. Phil being a total beer lover, he was really digging these two flavours! I feel like this beer is a must try for everybody! (Unless your not legal to drink yet... lol)
We ordered the Pork fried rice ($8.50). When the dish came, I thought the portion was very small but it turned out to be a pretty good size for 6 people to share, considering there were other dishes coming as well. Great flavour and it was one of my bros faves. Usually my bros are pretty picky, so if they think its good... it must be pretty good :)
I thought the dish was great! The pork was cooked very well. The veggies and meat complimented each other and was very well balanced.

Grimm's Gourmet & Deli
Hey guys!
So the other day I went on a mini road trip to Joffre Lake with 3 of my other friends. It was approximately a 3 hour drive to Joffre Lake from Vancouver so we made several pit stops to take bathroom and food breaks. We stopped by Whistler around 8:30am and Subway was unfortunately closed so our next stop was at Pemberton, B.C. We were hoping there would be a Subway there but there were only a few shops within that area. We ended up getting sandwiches from Grimm's Gourmet & Deli. It's a local deli shop and it was pretty busy compared to other restaurants around the area. They had a lot of options on their menu and I ended up getting their 3 meat sub. We ate the sandwich when we arrived to the top of the mountain and it was just amazing. The view was great and the sandwich tasted great. Filled with meat and the veggies were fresh. It was a great option to bring to a hike. The 3 meat sub costed approximately $7.95 and it was an extremely filling sub for under $10.00.
I created a mini clip of our mini trip! Go watch us on Youtube, HERE!
Enjoy!

Cafe de l'Orangerie
Hey guys!
The other day I went to find Phil for lunch during his lunch break. I met him at Cafe de l'Orangerie which is located on West 73rd, near the Airport Square Building. This place is Japanese owned and the staff was very friendly.
For drink, I ordered the Matcha Green Tea Latte ($4.55). I thought it tasted great but was disappointed that they didn't draw anything on my latte like the one I had from Cafe Joie. But the main thing was the drink itself and I enjoyed it very much.
For appetizers, we ordered their Poutine Orangerie-Style- small size ($6.25). It's fries with homemade beef stew sauce & mozzarella cheese. I LOVED this, the beef stew tasted amazing and it just went really well together with the fries and the cheese. I highly recommend ordering this to share with friends and family as an appetizer.

Maji Restaurant
Hey guys!
The other day after work, me & my co-workers went to Maji for dinner. I've passed by this restaurant a few times but I never had a chance to give this place a try so that night it was a great opportunity to finally try this restaurant out. At first when my friend told me lets go Maji! I thought it was a Japanese restaurant until we got there I realized it was Taiwanese! The interior was bigger then I expected, it gives off a Japanese vibe to me but my friend thought it felt very Korean. They had brick features on the walls and wooden panels within the interior.
Parking is a pain in the ass if you go there, if you know Alexandra road is FILLED with food restaurants so parking has always been an issue in this location. BUT, We got there around 5:30pm so parking was easy and getting a table here was quick!

Hai Phong Vietnamese Restaurant
Hey Everyone,
I recently had lunch at Hai Phong Vietnamese Restaurant in Vancouver on Kingsway with my buddy and as it was my first time dining here, I had to blog about it!
Since it was my first visit, I will almost always opt for pho to try their staple product. My friend got the house special, but I opted to go for the large Rare Beef and Beef Balls with Rice Noodle Soup $8.50.
