Hey Everyone,
After volleyball drop in recently, a few teammates and I went for lunch afterwards, and after trying to go to a few other places, we ended up at BT Cafe. They're an HK cafe style restaurant, so I would go for what I usually order at these types of restaurants: Pick 2 Items combos.

Lee Garden Seafood Restaurant
Hey Everyone,
I went to Lee Garden Seafood Restaurant a while ago with my family to have dinner. I hadn't heard of this restaurant before getting there, but when I arrived, I realized this is what took over that buffet restaurant that used to be here (Grand Buffet?). It's located next to the Estea on Kingsway in Burnaby.
This is the view from the back, which is kind of the front of the restaurant, as the Kingsway side has no entrance. They share a small parking lot with Estea next door.
It doesn't look like much from the outside, but when you step inside, it looks quite grand!
The space inside is quite roomy and there are lots of tables. The decor was pretty and felt upscale. So far the interior was pretty nice, so I was hoping the food would be just as good.
When we started eating, I didn't get any photos of the food, but we had their supposedly "famous" chicken, among many other dishes that we ordered. I was told this was their signature dish, and the chicken itself did taste pretty good, but it was very similar to the chicken from Tai Tung on Granville.
The rest of the meal went ok but it was later that night where it hit! Our entire table, about 8 of us, all had a severe case of food poisoning which lasted several days for some of us, but my aunt had to go to the hospital. After going to the doctors and investigating further with the Fraser Health Authority, we found out that several other tables that night suffered the same food poisoning as us, and it turned out to be Salmonella!
Needless to say, the restaurant was shutdown for a period after that under orders from the health department, but they soon opened for business again! When we brought this issue to them, initially they noted they would compensate us in some way next time. When next time came around, they told us they weren't going to do anything, and that we can call a lawyer and sue them!
Their service was undoubtedly horrible given their handling of the situation!
I have not since returned to this restaurant, so I can't say if their food has been cleaned up now, but I definitely will NOT return, and would definitely warn EVERYONE to STAY AWAY from this restaurant! I've heard bad things about the buffet that existed here before Lee Garden, and similar results happened from eating their food, but who would have thought the same would happen after a new business took over! Do NOT eat here as we care about your health and would not want you to fall victim to what we went through!

Hai Phong Vietnamese Restaurant
Hey Everyone,
I recently had lunch at Hai Phong Vietnamese Restaurant in Vancouver on Kingsway with my buddy and as it was my first time dining here, I had to blog about it!
Since it was my first visit, I will almost always opt for pho to try their staple product. My friend got the house special, but I opted to go for the large Rare Beef and Beef Balls with Rice Noodle Soup $8.50.

Revisit- Earls on Kingsway
Hey Everyone,
After an exhausting football practice with my new team, some of us decided to grab a bite and happened upon Earls at their Kingsway location.
It happened to be Happy Hour when we were there, but for drinks I still stuck with my go to drink: Mojito.
Now this wasn't an original mojito like I usually get, but rather a Cucumber Mojito $8.50! There were 3 choices, lime, raspberry or cucumber, and I decided on this one as I felt the cucumber would compliment a mojito well and I was not disappointed. You can definitely taste the subtle cucumber flavour in the midst of this refreshingly delicious mojito made with Appleton White Rum, mint, and fresh lime! Just what I needed after practice in the rain on a Sunday afternoon! Highly recommend this one!
We then ordered food and since it was happy hour, all of us ordered at least one item off their happy hour menu.
Personally, I ordered a plate of salt and pepper Chicken Wings $6.00 with Celery and Grana Padano Parmesan Ranch Dip $1.00.

Cattle Cafe
Hello my lovely food lovers :)
Back with another blog today all about this Cattle Cafe that is located on Kingsway. I've only been to this location once before and from what I recall, it wasn't the best. The other night Phil and I just finished with an appointment and we were actually craving for Pho, but ended up for cafe food instead. First impression of the restaurant, layout is tight and not the cleanest. So when we got into the restaurant, we were directed to a table right away but because of the spacing between the pathway and the tables being very tight, the waitress had to move aside for us to pass by. Being an interior design student, that is definitely a big no no for me. After being seated, our surroundings was definitely not pleasant. We got a window seat at the corner and once we sat down, the side edges of the windows were filled with dust and was extremely dirty. When we were deciding what to order, Phil had the urge of leaving because he didn't like the atmosphere and didn't know what to order. But obviously we didn't leave! Otherwise I wouldn't be blogging about it right now. It gets better, so don't be sad just yet...just continue reading along... lol

Green Lemongrass
Most of the time I'll be either craving for sushi or viet food. I've been to this place before and I thought it was pretty decent. The parking lot is never full so don't worry about not being able to find a spot there. The interior looks like all other viet places; not much uniqueness to it.
Like all other viet places, we got our bean sprout.
