I've heard many good things about Chatime from my friends, and I finally found time to drop by to give this place a try! I went on a weekday so it wasn't busy, so I took my time looking at the menu to see what I wanted. The interior is very clean and bright. They also have tons of seating for a bubble tea place. Great place to sit and hang out with friends.
On their menu, they had a wide variety of bubble tea options. There were just too many to choose from so at the end I decided to choose one that was "starred", which was a fave among most people.
I ended up ordering the Jasmine Green Milk Tea with pearls, 80% ice & sugar.
I really like how they give you a choice in terms of how much ice & sugar you want in your drink. Majority of bubble tea places don't have this option and their drinks turn out pretty damn sweet. I like how in this case, I can enjoy a bubble tea without worrying how much sugar is placed into my drink because they give you an "option"!
They also provide free wifi, so you can go there and bring your laptop too! Like I said before, they have tons of seating and the space is very spacious!
I will definitely go back to try out more of their drinks! I thought the drink was a nice change for me. I usually just order honey milk tea but this definitely opened my mind to try out the other ones they have to offer. The jasmine wasn't too strong so you can still taste the milk tea. Really enjoyed it & possibly could be a new fave ;P

Welcome back to Domoiscraving and today we will be talking about Uncle Lu! The chinese wording at the front is exactly like Corner 23 so I assume they have some sort of a relation to each other. I'm not sure if this is exactly true but I heard that the boss of Corner 23 sold that name to another person and now opened Uncle Lu in Richmond to continue the popular Taiwanese chain restaurant here in Vancouver.
This restaurant is located in Continental Centre in Central Richmond. This plaza is usually filled with people because majority of the stores are restaurants. When we got there, we noticed at the front of the restaurant they have a sign up sheet where you can put down your name & number of people & they'll base off that list and give you a table accordingly. Also this place is CASH ONLY! Since their front isn't extremely big, we decided to step out to wait for our table. They taped up posters along the windows showing their signature dishes. Just looking at the images was making me drool already.
When we got to our table, we were given menus and they were probably the nicest looking menus I've seen in a Taiwanese restaurant. Their interior is smaller than expected but because of their tall ceilings, it didn't feel constricted at all. They had lantern decoration light fixtures above and at the back wall they featured this big piece with a bunch of asian words. Because my Chinese only goes to a certain extent, there's no way how I can translate that but at least it looks cool!

A month ago, Phil & I went to a Taiwanese Restaurant across from Richmond Center called Memory Corner. We're always looking for new Taiwanese restaurants in Richmond because we always tend to go to Bubble World when we don't know where to go. This time around, we searched up on Zomato in advance to see what other Taiwanese Restaurants are in the area. The ratings and reviews look pretty positive for Memory Corner so we decided to give it a try!
When we first stepped in, we were instantly intrigued by some of the displays shown in their restaurant. At the back of the restaurant were two Chinese looking dolls that were being displayed at the back. Their menu was also written and designed in a very traditional style.

The other day after work, me & my co-workers went to Maji for dinner. I've passed by this restaurant a few times but I never had a chance to give this place a try so that night it was a great opportunity to finally try this restaurant out. At first when my friend told me lets go Maji! I thought it was a Japanese restaurant until we got there I realized it was Taiwanese! The interior was bigger then I expected, it gives off a Japanese vibe to me but my friend thought it felt very Korean. They had brick features on the walls and wooden panels within the interior.
Parking is a pain in the ass if you go there, if you know Alexandra road is FILLED with food restaurants so parking has always been an issue in this location. BUT, We got there around 5:30pm so parking was easy and getting a table here was quick!
