Hey everyone!
So it feels like I legit haven't blogged in FOREVER and I truly apologize for the lack of posts on our blog. Usually I blog during the weekend but I've been so caught up with our Youtube Vlogging Channel, I've been lacking motivation to blog. But right now, i am back at it again and have many restaurant reviews lined up!
At Metrotown food court, there's a new food court vendor! They are called Chachi's! They specialize in gourmet sandwiches, using local, fresh ingredients from local butchers, cheesemakers & bakers. Their motto is "changing mall food, making it better and gourmet".
From first glance, the design layout of their food court stall definitely gives off a different vibe. Very modern, bright and clean.
While checking out their menu board, their prices are definitely much higher compared to all the other food court vendors. Prices are based on just the sandwich itself and it varies approx. $10-$12. You may add sides and drinks on the side if needed.

Shiny Tea- Burnaby Location
Hey everyone!
Today we went to Crystal Mall to check out some sunglasses and we stumbled upon the newly opened location of Shiny Tea on the 2nd floor, next to the food court. They also have another location in Aberdeen Centre (the new side of Aberdeen). We've seen many photos on social media of other foodies trying out their bubble tea so we thought we might as well give this place a try. This bubble tea shop originated from Taiwan and they have a green sign that states they've been authorized by Mr. Tsung-Ho Tu, inventor of Taiwan's Tapioca Milk Tea.

Food Court Corner - Sun Century Cafe
Hey Everyone,
Jess and I went to Yaohan recently to have dinner, and while walking through the food court, one particular stall caught our eye, and it was Sun Century Cafe.

Food Court Corner - OPA! - Richmond Centre
Hey Everyone,
My colleagues and I frequent food courts often when lunching during the week, so I thought I'd do some posts about the places we usually go.
So one of the places at Richmond Centre that I order from often is OPA! I enjoy Greek food from time to time, and even though it's food court food, I like OPA!'s food. I usually order their pita wrap, but I have recently been getting the OPA! Platter $9.79.

Wildleaf
Hey Everyone,
So after quite a wait for what would take over the previous location of Lung Kee at the Aberdeen Food Court, it turned out to be Wildleaf, a Vietnamese cuisine food court stall!

Taste of Aberdeen
Hey everyone!
This week I was invited by Chinesebites to their Taste of Aberdeen Media Event. This event we got to sample some of the top items from every food court vendor at Aberdeen. Everything was just absolutely amazing and I will list some of my personal top faves at the end of this post!
I occasionally eat at Aberdeen but I usually just go to my usual vendors, so during this event it really opened up my mind to try out the other different vendors that are there. Phil goes to Aberdeen Food Court to eat quite frequently but unfortunately he wasn't able to attend this event with me because his company was invited to a Lobster Festival. Therefore, I brought my friend Alison with me. She personally eats at Aberdeen quite frequently as well so she was really excited to try some of the dishes that she never ordered before.
Teppan Kitchen- Ice Honey Matcha Tea
Saboten- Iced Genmaicha (Japanese Green Tea)
Bubble Waffle- Ice Lemon Ribena

Food Court Corner- Saboten
Hi everyone,
Today I'll be talking about a foodcourt restaurant called Saboten that is located in Aberdeen Centre. I've passed by it numerous times and it never attracted me to go buy from there. Our friend Ricky bought either their loin or tenderloin set last time and it made me wanna give this place a try. Also, I didn't have any cash on me so the options we had were very limited.
I ordered the Tenderloin Katsu Don approx. $8.00 & it came with a side miso soup.
Surprisingly I was very happy with my meal. Everything was very flavourful and I finished the whole thing! The caramelized onions with the smooth egg that was lathered all over it works perfectly with the Tenderloin. I was very surprised that I got a good portion of the Tenderloin. The one reason why I never ordered from there was because their sample photos just never looked appealing to me nor does the portion looked enough to fill me up. YES, I admit I am an extreme big eater :P
