Food Court Corner- Saboten

Hi everyone,

Today I'll be talking about a foodcourt restaurant called Saboten that is located in Aberdeen Centre. I've passed by it numerous times and it never attracted me to go buy from there. Our friend Ricky bought either their loin or tenderloin set last time and it made me wanna give this place a try. Also, I didn't have any cash on me so the options we had were very limited.

I ordered the Tenderloin Katsu Don  approx. $8.00 & it came with a side miso soup.
Surprisingly I was very happy with my meal. Everything was very flavourful and I finished the whole thing! The caramelized onions with the smooth egg that was lathered all over it works perfectly with the Tenderloin. I was very surprised that I got a good portion of the Tenderloin. The one reason why I never ordered from there was because their sample photos just never looked appealing to me nor does the portion looked enough to fill me up. YES, I admit I am an extreme big eater :P

Food Court Corner- Chun Hing Cuisine

Hey Everyone,

Went to eat at Yaohan food court as a last minute decision when looking for a cheap meal with Jess last time. Jess went with korean food while I ended up picking Chun Hing Cuisine, one of the many choices there that offer the "rice or noodle with 3 or 4 items". As with my ribs decision making process, I went with whichever one had the longer line.

Their competitor next door had the same deal going on as seen in the picture below.

This is definitely good value for $7 as they load up your container full of food! Their selection looked more appetizing than their competitor as well, so I decided to eat here.

Food Court Corner- Seoul Express Korean Food

Hello ladies & gents,

Welcome back to my blog, today I bring you our experience at a food court booth that is located in Yaohan Centre.

After being with Phil for almost 4 years, his family has persuaded me to try spicy food ever since. I think the fact that I was surrounded by different types of Chinese food at the time, made me want to order something other than Chinese food. I ordered their Bibimbap, which has a bit of spice to it, but after getting my food, I decided to put extra hot sauce in it, with teriyaki sauce around the edge of the stone pot. I think it is definitely necessary to add the extra sauces, otherwise the overall dish would be a tad dry.

Seoul Express is located within the food court of Yaohan Centre. Parking can be frustrating at times, depending whether you go during peak hours or not. I went there for dinner and it was pretty busy since people did last minute grocery shopping at Osaka and people like me, decides to eat dinner there.

Food Court Corner- La Prep Daily Fresh

Anybody else tried this place before? I really like this place! Everything is healthy and fresh daily but the only down side to it is its pretty pricey for what it is actually worth. Their fresh wraps and sandwiches are super tasty though! It's located at the Pacific Centre food court next to Dairy Queen/Orange Julius I believe.

I got the Chicken Avocado Wrap ($5.95). Definitely a healthy option for people who are on a diet. I was trying to eat healthy so I got this before me and limmerZ go to Harbour dance studio for our hip hop class. Very fresh and healthy, I love it!

Food Court Corner- VINA Vietnamese

Vina has been around for quite some time but I've never taken the time to give it a try. Finally I've decided to give this place a go, the food was average and for what it is worth I think it is definitely over priced. They have several locations in malls and according to my mom apparently they have an actual restaurant in Downtown but that was from LONG time ago so I don't know if that still exists. I went to the Oakridge Mall location which is located in the food court. Depends on what hours you go it may be super busy or not so much. I went during lunch time so it was pretty busy overall at the food court. Parking at Oakridge is easy because they have a pretty big parking lot either outside or underground. The only trouble you'll be having during lunch time is searching for a table at the food court.
