Canucks Centre Ice Grill

Hey Everyone,

So during the season, I had the opportunity to catch a Canucks game with seats at the Centre Ice Grill! This is on the 400 level at Rogers Arena, between upper bowl and the 500 level suites. It's essentially a restaurant/bar and only specific seats along the edge of the restaurant get an overlooking view at the ice. The staff there are pretty strict about people with seats on the inside of the restaurant trying to move to the edge for a view of the game. There's two levels to the restaurant, and we were on the upper level.

Here's the view from our seats:

Ceili's Modern Irish Pub

Hey Everyone,

So lately I have been craving some sports bar food and after considering a few of the options in Richmond, we decided to go to Ceili's! I've been here before but this was Jess' first time so I was eager to see what she thought of it.

Bistro Verde

Hey Everyone,

So Nordstrom finally opened up in Vancouver last week, and while Jess and I were there checking things out, we noticed this restaurant on the 3rd floor by the men's section. It looked pretty cool from the outside so we had to try it out and let you all know how it is!

Legends Pub

Hey Everyone,

Jess and I recently went to the relocated Legends Pub, which is now at Blundell and Garden City.

I have been to Legends at their previous location but since they moved, we had to check it out. The nice new interior is pretty nice!

Milltown Bar & Grill

Hey Everyone,

Recently a good friend recommended me to this restaurant so I had to bring Jess along to check it out! When I Google Mapped this place in the beginning, I was surprised to see that this restaurant was located on some sort of "island" off the southwest corner of Vancouver. If you didn't know where this restaurant was ahead of time, it would be very difficult to find if you just drove around looking for it. I highly suggest Google Mapping this first!

As you can see on the menu, they state "Yes it's true...you are technically sitting in Richmond! But we would prefer that you tell people we are in Marpole!" That would make this place the only part of Richmond I know of that is accessible from Vancouver without crossing a bridge.

Tap n Barrel - Revisit

Hey Everyone,

On a Friday night after a tough week at work, what better way to get the weekend started than by going to Tap n Barrel for some good food and craft beer? My buddies and I decided to do just that at the Olympic Village location.

We got there during the height of the dinner time rush, so we ended up having to wait for an hour and a half! The weather was beautiful and so was the location, so it wasn't the worst of waits.

Saw the A&W manager filming a new commercial while we were waiting as well!

When we finally got seated, we were seated in the first floor near the back of the restaurant just past the bar.

Gotham Steakhouse & Cocktail Bar

Hey everyone,

So I was at Gotham Steakhouse last night with Bee because it was her birthday yesterday! SHOUT OUT TO BEE <3 Anyways the restaurant was really dark with the dim lights and the lighted candles so lighting for pictures was horrible! So I took one picture of all the food we got.

Bee and I Canada Line to Waterfront station and the restaurant is just a few blocks away. If you're planning to drive down, they do have valet parking.

The interior was very nice and the service was WONDERFUL. From beginning to end I was very impressed with everything. The waiter was very jolly and friendly and the best part was when he sang happy birthday to Bee when he brought out our dessert. Also, when you first enter into the restaurant the hosts greets you in a very friendly way and they have coat service.

Bee got the Premium Salmon Filet ($29.95), I tried a bit of it and OMG it was sooooo delicious!
I got the Roasted Stuffed Half Chicken ($29.95), it was the BEST tasting chicken ever and it was such a huge leg that I was full after eating half of it.
We also ordered fresh steamed broccoli ($7.95) and french fries($6.96) on the side. Those were pretty average, nothing special.

At the end we ordered Baked American Cheesecake with mixed berry sauce($11), the cheesecake tasted amazing but we couldn't finish it at the end because we were already so full from our main course!

I would totally recommend this place if you are looking for a place for FINE dining. This is probably the most expensive restaurant I've been to. The prices for other stuff on the menu was off the roof!

Check out the menu if you guys don't believe me LOL:

OHHH and also a heads up, they give you bread at the beginning of your meal (most fancy restaurants are like that) and the bread is HUGE. So just keep that in mind. LOL

Service:
5/5

Food:
4.5/5 (lost a bit of points from the sides because if I'm going to pay 8 bucks for broccoli and 7 bucks for french fries, it better be amazing, but unfortunately it was just average)

Price:
$$$$-$$$$$

Overall Rating:
4.75/5

HAPPY EATING :D

Monks McQueens- Waterfront Bar & Grill

Monks, well known for their fresh daily seafood. Finally had a chance to give this place a try. For a couple who loves to buy vouchers we always keep an eye out for amazing deals and finally our chance was here when limmerZ snatched a voucher for us to go to the Monks with 50 dollars worth. I've never been there in my life so thank god limmerZ came here with his family before otherwise I wouldn't even know how to get to this place because it was pretty hidden. They don't have many parking spots a long the side walk so its either be patient and wait for a free parking spot or valet your car. They have a whole parking lot just for the valet boys to valet cars. So, since it was right there and all the side parkings were taken up we've decided to pay for valet instead. Valet was approximately 8 dollars. The entrance was nothing grand but when we walked in the restaurant it was a very casual setting and it was a sunny day so the brightness just made the whole place look better. Apparently on the menu at the bottom of the page it indicates that if you're going to a White Caps game they do provide free valet parking and free shuttle to BC Place and $15 dollars for burger and beer! limmerZ and I didn't know they had this before so it kind of sucked how we already went to a White Caps game :(

Rockford Wok-Bar-Grill

First time I went to Rockford was last year 2011 and I never went back there afterwards. Not because it wasn't delicious or horrible service, but it just never occurred in my mind again. Maybe because it was nothing spectacular and special. I went there with my friend Bee, Jho and a couple of other people and I can say that I still don't find it fascinating.
