Cineplex VIP Experience - SilverCity Coquitlam and VIP

Hey Everyone,

So right before Cineplex's Scene program officially changed their points redemption schedule to the new (less worth) system, I bought two tickets at the old point price of 1000 points each for 007 Spectre at the Coquitlam VIP theater. If you didn't know the old system allowed you to redeem 1000 points for any movie ticket level, whether it be regular, 3D, AVX, IMAX, D-Box, or VIP, but the new system requires 2000 points to get a VIP ticket, and 1500 points for any other type of ticket higher than a regular one. 

Coquitlam's theater was the closest one to us, with the other BC VIP theater located in Abbotsford. They have a good sized parking lot on ground level, and an underground parking lot right below as well!

With our VIP ticket, we get access to their VIP lounge, which consisted of a full bar, stylish and modern decor, comfortable seating, and table service to order food and drinks. This was essentially a full on restaurant as they had a full menu of items to order, from appies like wings and chicken fingers, to entrees like burgers and pizzas. 

We started off at the cozy seats on the side just lounging, then we figured if we're going to eat a meal, it would be a lot more comfortable at an actual table, so we moved.

Me n Ed's Pizza Parlor Revisit

Hey Everyone,

We recently revisited Me n Ed's Pizza Parlor, but this time in the Coquitlam location. Last time it was a take out order from the Highgate location in Burnaby, so we'll see how dining in is like at the Coquitlam location now.

This location's building is very similar to the Highgate one, as it's located next to a McDonalds as well, and the size of the restaurant is similar as well. 

Let's get straight to the food!

For starters, we had two orders of wings, BBQ and Honey Garlic. Their wings are pretty tasty and meaty! They come with celery sticks and I love celery sticks! We didn't get a photo of their wings but they're pretty typical wings. Pretty decent!

Now for the pizza:

Godfather

This used to be my favourite after last time I had their pizza. Eating it fresh in the restaurant was even better! The fresh tomatoes tasted so good on this pizza, and their crust is by far one of the best crusts in local pizza! It has a flaky texture to it and does not become rock-like even after reheating later on. This is a very good pizza, but the other 2 we ordered were even better!

Yan's Garden Restaurant

While heading down to Coquitlam mall my family and I decided to eat lunch at this dim sum restaurant. According to my dad this place is pretty good. The parking lot is pretty big so there were plenty of spots available. First impression of this place was not what I expected. It's very old and not noticeable at all! They have two sides to the restaurant, one side is the main sitting area and the other side has a karaoke machine and can host parties. The place is pretty big and they do have a lot of tables. When we got inside to the restaurant, most of the tables were filled and I was quite surprised! This dim sum place is one of those older style restaurants where they have those carts filled with dim sum and it goes around the restaurant. I do like dim sum restaurants like these because you don't have to wait as long for them to make the dim sum!

This is Stir Fried Dao Miu. It was pretty average.

Fried Chicken Wings! This was actually pretty good, my brother cleared this plate up!
