Hi Everyone!
Happy Chinese New Year! I feel like I haven't blogged in the longest time. I've been so busy with everything in life, I literally had no time to blog. BUT I am officially back and I have a few lined up blog posts which will be coming out very soon!
If you read my blogs, you would probably notice a bunch of my reviews are within Richmond. All my activities 80% of the time revolves around Richmond, so its hard to get out of there at times. During the weekend we went to Metrotown to shop and we came across this new restaurant that I personally never seen before. Its right under the food court and its a Udon Bar. They definitely renovated the interior and it looks very big and spacious. I was happy to see on their menu they also have sushi roll options. I was really craving for sushi but we decided to go for their weekend deal instead.
Their lunch special only happens on weekends from 11am-3pm. You can choose a Udon option, a rice option, soup or salad and it comes with two sides, all for $10.50.

REVISIT- Kamei Royale
Hi Everyone,
Surprisingly I have a bit of time on my hands before 2014 ends! So I thought might as well blog about our re-visit to Kamei Royale. If you did not read my previous blog on this restaurant, pls click here: Kamei Royale.
The other day before me & Phil went to Fly Over Canada-Xmas Addition, we decided to go grab some dinner at Kamei Royale. We've been here multiple times & every single time it has been a decent experience therefore we always return. The building has their own underground parking and the good thing about this restaurant is they reimburse the parking fee which came to a total of $8.00. They give the reimbursement back in cash rather then a credit off your bill.
First thing we ordered was the Chikuwa Cheese ($7.00) It is deep fried fish cakes with melted mozzarella cheese. Very flavorful, love the combination of a crunchy exterior and the soft texture of the fish cake combined.
We also ordered 6 Salmon Sushi ($3.50 each) & Salmon Roll ($4.00)
We ordered one special roll called The Crunch & Munch ($14.00) which consists of prawn tempura, cucumber & tobiko wrapped with unagi & avocado. I love this roll, very delicious! All components work well together. The only crunch factor was the deep fried tempura but still very good!

Gyo-O 魚王
Hi Everyone,
Back with a quick blog about this Japanese restaurant located in Richmond in the Continental Plaza. Continental Plaza is filled with different varieties of food but this Japanese restaurant is legitimately opened by Japanese people. Love the decor in there. The walls are filled with Japanese words & painted drawings of fish. The vibe of the design really makes me feel like I'm eating somewhere in Japan. On their television screen, they play Japanese shows. Me & Phil were watching a donburi eating contest..and I must say..those Japanese people can eat ALOT of donburi..
The restaurant is very small so I don't recommend large parties to go there unless you tell them in advance. We were seated near the entrance so the cold air coming in when people open the door was definitely the down fall of our corner seat. The service is decent, we were constantly getting refills for our tea, which i love the fact that I don't need to wave them down to ask them!
Phil ordered the Ebi Tempura Bakkake Udon with Egg (Approx. $11-12).
He thought this dish could use a bit more seasoning or sauce. The udon's were simply just too plain. He had to add the tempura sauce on top of the udon's to give it more flavour.
